The Debian packages would of come from ftp.debian.org and any Debian mirror,
as do all other Debian packages.

The ncurses etc used with the Debian package is what was currently available
from the Debian packages in the unstable distribution.

dpkg tells me it wants the following:
Depends: libc6, ncurses3.4, xlib6g (>= 3.3-5)
