I'd like to know if you find a solution, as my system does the same. I
suspect it's a bug with Redhat somewhere. It did it on both my systems
when I upgraded to 2.0.33. Does yours also print out a load (about 4 for
each network interface) of blank lines when booting up and shutting down,
around the point where it says 'Disabling IPV4 Packet Forwarding'? I've
spent ages trying to figure out what causes them, and have come to the
conclusion that it's something to do with it not being able to find the
Net-Pf modules (Pf-> Packet forwarding?).
The next thing to try is to see if I can get hold of a newer version of
the modules, as my second system came up with masses of 'unresolved
symbols' errors whenever it probed for module dependencies, when I enabled
the 'set version information on all symbols for modules' kernel option.
