I'm using glibc 2.0.6 (debian version) and it appears to still have some
problems. In fact, I had compiled splitscreen with an earlier version and
it worked fine, but now segfaults and recompiling doesn't help.
I don't think Craig's changes are there yet (2.0.6 appears to have been
released on 28 December 1997).
