Sorry for my previous test, but I have been having problems with my mail.
I sent this message a week ago, but I guess it didn't make it to the list.
Here it is again...

Hi there! I'm a complete newbie in ham radio, so excuse me if my questions are
stupid...

I want to link my home computer with my University via a radio link. I was
thinking about the soundmodem driver since I have an old SoundBlaster Pro and
it's the cheapest solution, but I have a couple of question. What is the
maximum bps that can be achieved with the soundmodem driver? I know there is a
9k6 module, but can soundmodem be used for 19k2? Is anybody working on it? is
19k2 too fast for the soundmodem driver (CPU load)? if so, what recomended
hardware (cheap) can I use for 19k2?

Thanx a lot!
