Thats a tough one.. I am not sure what installes it. I think it is one of
the misc utility packages.

First try "man locate". If it find something then all you should have to
do is:

updatedb

or

updatedb&

to run it in background if you have a large file system with several
disks and/or CDs mounted.

I think you will find it in sbin or usr\bin. I dont think it is
automatically installed. If you did not answer yes at the right time when
installing you system it might not be loaded. I have no idea what package
you would want to load to get it.
