Thanks for reading this, I have a dumb problem and don't
have the time to really look into it. Maybe you have seen
this before. I just upgraded to Linux 2.0.31 with the
ax25utils and all the other stuff recommended in the ax25
howto (great job by the way!). Everything works except for
my TCP/IP on the ax0 port. I got node/netrom/ax25ipd and
all the other neat things working great. Just this one
stupid message I have seen before but can not recall. If
you recognize it and the resolution please drop me a
note.. the results from a Ping:

gate:~# ping 44.69.196.1
PING 44.69.196.1 (44.69.196.1): 56 data bytes
ping: sendto: Operation not permitted
ping: wrote 44.69.196.1 64 chars, ret=-1

--- 44.69.196.1 ping statistics ---
1 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100% packet loss

My configs for start up are below:
/usr/sbin/kissattach -i 44.69.196.8 -m 512 /dev/ttyS1 ax25
# now my TCP/IP config's
/sbin/ifconfig ax0 netmask 255.255.252.0
/sbin/ifconfig ax0 broadcast 44.69.196.255
# route to stuben and corn lan's
/sbin/route add -net 44.69.196.0 netmask 255.255.252.0 ax0
# route to tioga lan's
/sbin/route add -net 44.80.52.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 gw
44.69.196.1 ax0

My eth0 and ppp0 ports work fine...
