You shouldn't need the convers client under node. The alias for
"CONVers" to telnet as seen in the example node.conf works just fine. You
can get it to log the user in and do everything else you'd expect the
convers client to do in this case...

The problem is probably that the convers client would like to be
connected to a terminal, and control the terminal too, but you cannot do
such things on a pipe.
