Hayes modem

Mon, 08 Dec 1997 21:25:11 -0800

I just bought a Hayes accura 56kflex modem, external.
I have a fujitsu h/d with a dos partition 2 linux and a swap.
The modem is on com2 and works well in dos.
I linux I go inot x and start seyon an AT brings the ok back and
I can dial out to my ISP ok.
I exit from x and open a vt start minicom -s and set and save the
parameters
ie cua1 /dev/modem, ttyS1.. I dial out and the init light comes on but
I get no
connect. I wait for a couple of retries and then eXit. As soon as I
exit the modem dials out. I know it connnects to the number dialled
because I have dialled a local
bbs and checked it..
I realise this is not a linux-ham query but no other list can provide
any
tips..
