RTFM, maybe?.

Maybe doing a 'man fetchmail' (c)(w)ould have saved your's and our time.
I read a little way tho' the manual for fetchmail because i am considering
adding a pop server to our local node. Your answer is there in the man page.

-s, --silent
Silent mode. Suppresses all progress/status mes-
sages that are normally echoed to standard error
during a fetch. The --verbose option overrides
this.
