I am not sure I understand this... but 'tpp' is the program to run for convers
without NOS. To 'get' to convers you can set up an alias on the node to connect
to the local server via a telnet to 127.0.0.1 port 3600. Or maybe you'd like to
set up a callsign + ssid to allow direct connects from AX25 to convers.. I
can't help with the latter.

TPP is available on Lantz.COM, my node conf has:

Alias CONVers "telnet localhost 3600 \"/n %u %{1:8085}\""

in it to provide the CONV alias.

http://ftp.pspt.fi/ftp/pub/oh7lzb/convers/ is a better location (perhaps) for
convers files as it has a patch or two available too.
