That's right Bob, they won't work with libc5. The reason for using libc6 is
that is what the unstable distribution is using. When the unstable version
becomes stable, (in Debian 2.0) it will all fall into place.

If you do want to upgrade to libc6 and you use Debian, I suggest you take a look at http://www.gate.net/~storm/FAQ/libc5-libc6-Mini-HOWTO.html
