Wait a minute...The others MUST NOT do anything others want them to do.
They have no obligation towards any of us.

I don't know C either, but I don't expect any of the authors to make
changes to THEIR code just to satisfy my whishes.
However, if I do need something to be changed, and I can't do it myself,
than I can always kindly request the author to make the change for me.
Or suggest to put it in code and make it available in the next release.

Respect the works of others.
Be glad that they make their programs available for the rest of the
world.
DO NOT ORDER them to do stuff. But kind requests will be honoured, I'm
sure...
