Unless you have some very time critical application or you have a slow
machine to start with I dont think you'll find too many performance
issues with swapfiles. I gave away using swap partitions some time ago,
just make sure you put them on more lightly loaded spindles. Ultimately
more ram can be of benefit if swap performance is an issue ;-)
