Ok, it might be slightly off topic but as this is a linux question and I am
a ham, and it actually has something to do with "packet" via WINE, maybe
it is not too much off topic????
I know of the comp.emulator...... newsgroups but am not too experienced in
posting to these groups.
I am trying to compile wine970928 so as I can see if WINPACK might run under
this linux emulator?
I have the following system.......
486 DX2 66
20 M/B RAM
Kernel 2.0.30 (and usual acompanyments of compilers etc)
Following the readme, I execute ./configure then, 'make depend', then make.
The final text before returning me to the bash prompt is ......
'memory exhausted', [error] etc, then bash prompt.
I can not get past this to do a 'make install' and then have a bit of a play.
Any ideas?
