'cat /proc/sys/net/ax25/scc0/t1_timeout' where scc0 is your interface name.
you will then see a number, that is the t1_timer value, you can alter the
values with:
echo <new_value> > /proc/sys/net/ax25/scc0/t1_timeout
All the files there can be alterd the same way.
I can't see how the default values would cause the problem you are
describing, anyway this is also explaned in the HOWTO.
I have included a small script written by Jonathan Naylor G4KLX which will
show all the interface entrys from /proc/sys/net/ax25/*/* in a manner which
i am sure you will understand. Its a uuencoded tar file.
