To del a network route ?

Hi there,

How to delete the default "network" route created by the mandatory
steps needed to setup a baycom interface ? This is my question.

Yes, it appears that after insmod baycom, ifconfig with standard
255.255.255.0 netmask automatically enables a route to the direct
network 44.151.96.0 base address (8 bits wide).

Actually I don't want a default route for direct tcp/ip connects
on the AX25 interface, there is a default gateway and if and then
someone in the vicinity wants a direct route, I can add it manually.

The command "route del -net 44.151.96.0" is not accepted, only routes
to hosts can be removed.

Should I use a "1 bit wide" netmask instead or someth like that ?

Thanks for any advice.
