Why cant incomming connects go strait to the Netrom Call,? i can assure you
they can, or at least here anyway. What the FBB sysop can do is let everyone
know how they can connect to his bbs, be it thro' his node-call or what ever
call he listens on. There are several ways of doing that, ie, use the
"beacon" program to transmit the calls<>services in question periodicly or
put a message in your node.motd which is transmitted upon a connection to
node.

Remember with ax25d its possable to configure your system to listen for
many different callsign-SSIDs<>services, and futhermore the ExtCmd and Alias
commands in node add even more possablitys of the system.
