Did anyone try the following program. I got it and it died during
compilation trying to link in Xaw3p. I have no idea what this is or where
to look for it.

Look what I've found... ;-)
Not too many bells and whistles yet, but it's a good start. Give it a try.

XPR is simple packet radio program for Linux. It needs kernel 2.0.x with
ax25 support. I have it tested also with 1.3.88 kernel. It will not
work with kernel 1.2 or older versions of 1.3 kernel. Now I use 2.0.27.
It needs X Window - accelerated video card is recomended but is not must.
I have 386DX/40 and SVGA Cirrus Logic 5434 in ISA slot and xpr takes
not more then 1% of CPU time.

Few months ago I sent to PR net xpr version 0.13. Today's version 0.19
is little improved with less bugs.

I preffer my PR address hzit@dnb.no.
My e-mail address is gljnxf@spbstu.ru.
Xpr is also available over internet:
primary site: ftp://147.229.35.11/pub/hamradio/Xpr
or ftp://ftp.upce.cz/pub/Unix/Linux/ham/xpr
