Hello all,
I have a "newbie" question.

I have a JNOS/286 machine connected to radios in the shack, and a
linux box (Slackware ditribution/ Kernel 2.0.29) connected to it via
a SLIP link.
The problem is domain name resolving. If I say that the linux box
have to ask to jnos box to resolving addresses, it start sending
DNS request every 3/4 seconds, and JNOS box clogs, because for
every request opens read-only domain.txt, and the disk slows down horribly,
then linux starts barfing that he couldn't resolve the address.

Then I tried to run named on the linux box. I've read named's man
pages, and the BOG, but I'm still confused.
Is possible to make named working alike JNOS works? Ie. I have a cache
file where I put the most used addresses, and have some DNS addresses,
to call if addrss isn't found in cache.
If this isn't possible, there is a way to slow down DNS requests?

I hope this isn't a too trivial question, and thanks in adavance
for any answer.
