Does the KAM have some setting that changes the serial port baud
rate on connection ? I can't imagine why, but it looks something like
what I'd expect to see if the tnc were operating at a lower baud rate
than your terminal program, in this case minicom.
Alternatively, there is another TNC parameter that I can't recall
the name of just at the moment, might be PASSALL (?), that allows
the TNC to forward even corrupted packets to the terminal, perhaps
you have that enabled ?
Of course you could always not bother investigating that problem at
all and just dump the KAM into KISS mode and fire up the Linux AX.25
instead :)
