No thats how it works, but you can try to use "mode line", to do this hit
"ctrl ]" togehter, you will then get "telnet>" just type "mode line" you will
be returned to the telnet session on hitting enter. An "?" at the telnet>
prompt will give you a list of options. See also "man telnet".
However when using mode line you might encounter some problems ie, editing.
