Well you might never believe it but I downloaded the 2.1.43 kernel 3 weeks ago using only a 1k2 baycom modem !!
it needed about 26 houres.
The sysop of the local gataway got it on his hdisk first and then I ftp'd it from him. But now I see even direct ftp is very we
ll possible !
zone.oh7rba is very fast from Belgium !
So thanks for putting a mirror I'll cerainly use it often to get patches !! and even complete kernels..

For the moment I use a 1k2 baycom for uplink and a par96 for downlink. With the ax25 utils. First I thought about using tnos as
I though it would be easier.. wel it's not. (maybe this encourages some who want to try it either)
So now it works great ! uplink (slow) doesn't nearly stop tx.. while the par96 keeps decoding very well !!
while in dos only one 'baycom' already gives probs..

I still have this one very small question: using ttylinkd I noticed that the
/etc/HOSTNAME isn't well enough on it's own.. I needed to do: hostname [again the hostname] to get ttylinkd working..
Or maybe I (I would NOT doubt about it) forgot something again..
