On the outside there has been little significant change. The Rose
support is very much more complete and there have been a number of
bugs corrected in each of the AX.25, NetRom and Rose implementations.

Probably the biggest user level differences are Thomas Sailer's
BayCom and SoundModem drivers.

There have been lots of internal changes which will be a boon for
programmers in developing innovative network applications using linux
but these are transparent to the end user mostly.

Tomi's node program and still more to come for the rose utilities.

The rate of change is slowing, and I think this is a very positive
sign. It means I believe that the kernel AX.25, NetRom and Rose
implementations are reaching a state of maturity. This should herald
an increase in application development exploiting the stable
environment.

As with anything, if you don't have a pressing need to upgrade then
don't :) Some of us just gotta have the latest though :)
