I now upgrade to the net-tools-1.32-alpha.tar.gz like told in the HOWTO.

Here is what I get next:

fa1ukp-1:~# /sbin/ifconfig bpq0 hw ax25 fa1ukp-14 up
SIOCSIFHWADDR: No such device

That would mean there is an problem with my ethernet card ( ne2000
i/o:0x300 irq=11)

But as you can see it works :
