echo 30 > /proc/sys/net/ax25/axl/t2_timeout

or whatever the destination 'file' is.

This really does seem a bizzare and odd way of doing things...
I would have thought it would have been better to alter the
way that axparms worked to hide this from the user. Maybe
this was just a change to make it harder for newbies to use
the ax25 stuff?
