Actually, I've found at least one situation where TXTail is a useful --
even critical -- parameter. With the Ottawa PI card running in internally-
clocked mode, you need to set a TXTail of about 2 milliseconds (when using
19.2kbps), or else the end of the packet (not sure if it's the terminating
flag, or the FCS field) gets chopped off.
I've never had to worry about it when using a KISS TNC, though.
