Got an oddity...

xfbbd runs great on every version of Linux I've tried, up to 2.1.40.

With 2.1.42, though, it accepts the connect, then stops. And it never times
out.

I noted with interest that free is broken in 2.1.41+, due to a different
structure for /proc/meminfo

I wonder if xfbb is looking at anything in /proc, and if so, when might we
get around it?

This doesn't lock up the program - it will go on accepting connects all day.
It just never seems to get beyond that point.

I've updated all the programs that need updating for 2.1.41+ and 2.1.40
works well... 2.1.42 isn't quite stable (on my system) - it dies with a
kernel panic occasionally... but xfbb is the only thing that's not running
properly when the system is up.

There are no errors logged anywhere to indicate where the problem is... I'm
suspicious of changes in the /proc filesystem, since that seems to be the
only place where changes took place from 2.1.40 to 2.1.42

Thoughts?
