More ARP problems

I've been trying to set up and arp to go with AX25 over Ethernet between
two boxes on the same LAN one running 2.0.27, the other 2.0.30 - I
thought it would be the quickest way to test AX25 connectivity to one of
the machines without going out over the air 8-)

But I've been having similar errors to those that Bob Lorenzini wrote
of:

> SIOCSARP and OLD_SIOCSARP: Invalid argument
> No ARP Support or route to destination points to other interface. See
> arp(8)

The AX25 works Ok with a TNC, and the ethernet works fine otherwise

Anyone got any ideas
