Hi,

We have a Linux PC running as a remote packet node, its got no BBS or
xNOS on top, just runs ax25d

It needs to have someway of allowing a few people to connect remotely
and perform varying degrees of admin tasks without their passwords being
passed in full view.

These people could be connecting using all sorts of vanilla packet apps
(Baycom, xNOS etc)

I've got 'Secure Shell', but it needs Linux at the client - Is there
any other mechanism available to allow passwords to be passed 'hidden'
- The rest of the conneciton can be done open for all to see just not
the password
