First a quick run down on the system I am using:
486/100 1Gb drive 24Mb RAM
kernel 2.0.29 with module 12 patch, axutilities 2.0.12c
Having gotten Linux, TNOS XFbb Netrom Ping-Pong etc all behaving I
figure I would give myself some more grief by trying to introduce a
DX Cluster (clx 2.07).
Inorder to run the cluster I HAD to have libc.so.5.4.7 (I had been
using 5.3.12) to allow callsign validation to take place. I replaced
5.3.12 with 5.4.7 and all ran well EXCEPT with FBB xfbbC would no
longer work, it got as far as:
Client application for xfbbd v1.1 (help : xfbbC - ?)
and goes back to the prompt, AND as sys command in fbb also returns
with a string of "0"'s instead of a string of random characters.
I have done an STRACE of xfbbC and will include just a few lines for
each of the libc.so used, up to the srart of the included strace tje
output was the same.
If you are able to shed light on the problem please let me know. I
have posted this to Linux hams as well, 'cos the xfbb list is pretty
dead at the moment.
