Hi Joerg and hello to others listening,

The new scc driver seems to be running OK!
The system is up for 20 minutes here now as I am typing this,
another ham in the area here reports 15 hours up without any
problems.
I have not tested sccparam thoroughly.
One little thing from me:
When compiling the package I get one error:

gcc -O2 -m486 -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -DCONFIG_SCC_STANDALONE sccparam.c -o sccparam
gcc -O2 -m486 -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -DCONFIG_SCC_STANDALONE sccstat.c -o sccstat
gcc -O2 -m486 -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -DCONFIG_SCC_STANDALONE sccinit.c -o sccinit
gcc -O2 -m486 -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -DCONFIG_SCC_STANDALONE gencfg.c -o gencfg
In file included from gencfg.c:37:
scc.h:44: `SIOCDEVPRIVATE' undeclared here (not in a function)
scc.h:44: enumerator value for `SIOCSCCRESERVED' not integer constant
make: *** [gencfg] Error 1

this is with libc 5.4.20/gcc 2.7.2.1 if that matters....

One little thing from a fellow ham: He reports the scc drivers
keys a 1200 baud port even though he has turned tx off with
sccparam scc1 txoff!
