Sorry, but that won't work. The Pocket Packet sets things like baud rate
with the eprom firmware. The later TASCO units (TASCO made the Pocket
Packet for Heathkit) had KISS. It might be available from them, but
I think they only sell SSTV equipment in the U. S. these days.
W3IWI used to have a copy on his server, but I think that has been gone
for a while. Try col.hp.com in
/hamradio/packet/etc/firmware/u21_kiss.rom, which I think is the same
file.
Also, I think PacComm sells a suitable eprom for the Pocket Packet.
