PK232s and other AEA TNCs with firmware before late 1989 don't work
reliably in KISS mode. The firmware on the PK-232MBX is about the first
release that does KISS without problems.
When you have an earlier firmware release, PLEASE update it, or you will
cause a lot of aggravation on a busy channel.
