That file was meant for someone (in this case Joerg) to pick up and work on.

Yes there is. Joerg is working on it and I expect DAMA slave to reappear
in 2.1.28 or shortly afterwards.

The re-organisation of the source in 2.1.27 will allow for more
flexibility in the future with regard to protocols, for example DAMA master.
