With the phone not connected to your controller, you should be
clean. If not work on the repeater until it is. Then connect the phone line
and look for ground loops. You should be able to do this. I have phone
patches on 2 repeaters that work great. But it took a whole day to find and
fix grounding problems. Use a good controller too. Don't be cheap...:-)
