I'm using the Infomagic set. They have slackware, debian and red hat on
it (at least on my old, Nov. '95 version), and the Slackware distrib.
can be run 'life' from CD-ROM. I installed my system in such a way, that
a number of utilities are accessed from CDROM ('ln -s
/cdrom/life/usr/X11/bin /usr/X11/bin'). This saves a lot of disk space
for the harddisk impaired among us.

My upgrades are FREE as all of the software is available from
tsx-11.mit.edu or sunsite.unc.edu. Just use the CDROM as a base system
and upgrade over the internet!

Anyway, someone who can access email, will be able to get the upgrades
from the Internet. Being network-impaired is a mental thing, not a
physical! If everything else fails, you can use the 10 hrs free that
AT&T gives you here in the US!
