I am very sorry but the phrase "If your running a bog standard Linux
2.0.x," means nothing to me. I have never been told what a bog is. It is a
wet place...:-)

This is not bad advice. It is information for Hams that are using
the "old" software which I am still working with. Other users of this
software might have DX Cluster usres who like to stay connected for days. I do.
