Walter it looks like sl0 is already being used. Do this, as a root
login right after a reboot of linux type ifconfig sl0 and it should show you
a existing use of sl0 and perhaps you can turn it off.

If not then type ifconfig sl0 down and that will delete your erant
sl0 and you should then find it available for use.
