Now I have a question, is it just a case of listen showing bad frames, or
are the frames corrupt totally and therefore don't get routed by the IP
and AX.25 layers ?
What may be worth trying is a Linux 2.1.x kernel. I would recommend
2.1.20 although don't try and use modules as they are broken at the
moment in 2.1 land. Does the problem still persist ?
Its a strange one to say the least. The more I think about it the more
the problem appears to be in the interface code between the device
drivers and the protocols. You must remember that amateur radio is one of
the few things that uses should promiscuous monitoring of incoming and
outgoing frames, and a bug in that part of the kernel may not be stamped
on as quickly as in other parts.
