I am currently running RedHat 3.0.3 kerenl 1.3.77, and Tnos 2.10. I want
to upgrade the OS to a 2.0.x kernel so I can experiment towards using
the ax25-utils, etc. I have the kernel source for 2.0.12, and could
probably install it, and the ax25-utils successfully. However I feel
there might be some other things in the RedHat package that should
probably be upgraded along with the kernel. I am not real familiar with
their RPM package either.
I guess my question is this, is there some sort of simple upgrade I can
do to the whole package over top of my current system without losing my
current configuration, or do I install the newer release on a clean
drive and build it back from there, or just do the upgrade with what I
have already?
Any suggestions?
TIA Willie
