Well i dont know which version you have or even which tar file, in the
version i have there is no executable, maybe you have a different version.
I have ::
ax25ip (PROTOTYPE) Version 0.4.2 of 20 Sep 91
Copyright 1991, Michael Westerhof, Sun Microsystems, Inc.
and the whole tar file looks like this..
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 21106 Dec 12 10:38 ax25ip.tar.gz

I have NO problems compileing with kernel 2.0.27.
Maybe you didnt copy Makefile.Linux to Makefile
