I'm sorry but I don't remember seeing it. Difficult to reply otherwise.

First of all kissattach is only distributed with ax25-utils-2.1.9[ab] and
is only applicable to Linux kernels 2.1.9 and later. If you are using a
2.0.x kernel, don't.
If you are using a 2.1.x kernel, I would guess that you forgot to compile
in the new mkiss driver. Previously AX.25 was handled by the SLIP driver,
but we've declared UDI and have our own serial driver, its called mkiss
and is available by saying Yes to Radio Network Interfaces in "make
config". If that isn't your problem then, I'm stumped.

There is a new AX.25 HOWTO available from Terry. Things have changed a
lot in 2.1.x. For the better of course :-)
