Interestingly I can't get xfbb to work if the port name is numeric (say
144) but it appears fine if I name it ax0. I've tried substituting the
name of the NET/ROM port for ax0 to no effect. However I do have some
good news, to set up a TELNET port, set the "Mode" flags from (say) XUWYL
to TUWYL and it listens on a socket > 1000, I forget the number. The way
I got the number was to run "netstat -a > first", start xfbb then
"netstat -a > second" and then do a diff on "first" and "second" ! The
number 1035 springs to mind.

It looks superb. One UK amateur not unconnected with another Linux BBS
said recently that FBB for Linux was vapourware, Hah !

We've created a monster ! The Rose code appears to be working well and is
being developed further so Linux hasn't finished yet. What next ?
