Terry and others, I am running kernel 2.1.9 and it is stable. I have
worked with ftape and it works for small backups, but a total seemed to fail...

This morning I had a problem. When fsck found a problem it didn't
fix it. It went into a mode I never saw before and said run fsck manual
mode. I found "man fsck" worked and did it. Fixed some files in the tnos
file system and it rebooted fine.

Another thing. I got the latest dos emulator file and found after
reading the stuff in /doc that the software may not run on kernel 2.1.x.
That is what the latest word is in a file dated november 16 1996 no less. I
checked the kernel config and see nothing about vm86plus or dosemu so it is
not in that kernel.

Why do I get the feeling that I'm getting into this stuff at just
the wrong time?
