We recently suffered a catistrofic failure at our system that required
the re-installation of Linux. I had been using the Slackware version
previously, so I downloaded the recent installation (Ver 3.5), and have
been fighting an uphill battle ever since....
First:
CLX returned many error messages during startup:
"clx_ctl: can't resolve symbol
'assign__t12basic_string2ZcZt18string_char_traits1ZcPCc
clx_ctl: can't resolve symbol
'alloc__t12basic_string2ZcZt18string_char_traits1ZcUib
clx_ctl: can't resolve symbol
'replace__t12basic_string2ZcZt18string_char_traits1ZcUiUiUic
clx_ctl: can't resolve symbol
'compare__Ct12basic_string2ZcZt18string_char_traits1ZcPCcUiUi"
and more of the like....
I had run the CHECK utility before trying to startup CLX, but it
ran complete and said everything should be O.K. Does anyone have any
clues??
Second:
Expect does not want to run with the installed version of TCL.
Slackware 3.5 install comes with TCL8.0. Expect seems to want version
7.4. Is there some config file that needs to be changed, or something??
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated....
