These files are located in /usr/i486-linux-libc5/lib directory and that
directory does appear in the /etc/ld.so.conf file. We have run ldconfig
-v.
We went on to run clx -u (as clx_us) and we got down to the point where
clx has loaded and is running the shared memory manager clx_ctl. At that
point, it displays many dots (.......) and will continue doing so for
hours. When stopped with a Ctrl-C, there are no error messages.
Syslogd is running under root, portman is running under bin, and the
clx program in running under clx_us.
Our system is a 486DX33 running Red Hat 5.1 kernel 2.0.34 with the
patches described in the sysop manual (module 14f patch). TCP/IP is
working and we can successfully connect to another TNC and also "listen".
This is not an upgrade to a earlier version, but a completely new install.
Are we missing something simple? Newbies often do! Any suggestions will be
appreciated.
