Because it goes by bits and we have only a 32-bit variable there.
I cannot speak of your users but here most VHF people are happy to
turn off the HF traffic and vice versa. Then imagine someone doing a
SHOW/FILTERS command on a 25-line terminal...

Don't want to turn you down though. No I cannot think of a simple way to
achieve that but I don't think, anybody is going to use this anyway.
