If I remember this correctly, the basic ISO9660 file system supports
only the 8.3 notation in file names. There is, however, a number
of extensions, one is called "Rock-Ridge" extension, another one
is called "Joliet". The Rock-Ridge is kind of a Unix-standard in that
it keeps the real (long) file names in a special file and I think
also file permission etc. The file names get special name like
"FILE~1.TXT".

The Joliet extension is probably Microsoft-proprietary. This may be
what your CD is written with. You should study the manual page for
the mount command. There may be special options that you must use to
mount that CD.
