The clx system itself is running, accept the problems, which are discussed here on the list.

I use this configuration, because it was the easiest way for me to do.
It is intended to switch clx to the native ax25 kernel interface support, using "ax25d" and "ax25call".

You have to use libc5-5.4.38 for running clx.
Libc-5.3.12 is used by RedHat distributed software, like the Netscape Navigator.
At this time clx will not run with glibc, isn't it Ben, Franta?

I patched the ax25-utils and TNT, DPBOX to compile and run with glibc.
It is only necessary to exchange some include files.
So I do not have problems with ax25-utils and glibc. It is working fine
There is only one problem with the soundmodem support, because there is an include file needed to compile
the kernel modules, but this include file conflicts when compiling ax25-utils.
But I have no soundmodem. Otherwise a #ifdef __KERNEL__ will help.
The way I did the installation process is:
1. I patch the RedHat kernel sources version 2.0.32 with the ax25-modules-14f patch.
There will be one reject file. Be aware of this and check that everythig is patched right.
The rejected patch will do some things on the soundmodem configuration file. But it looks to me,
that everything was already included by RedHat.
2. I patched the kernel to 2.0.33.
3. I configured the kernel, compiled and installed it.
4. I tried to compile the ax25-utils and patched every file, which run's to errors.
Same I did with TNT and DPBOX. It is necessary to patch one include file in the kernel environment.
(Soundmodem support). Sorry, but I am not on my Linux system, so I can't lookup the name at this time.
5. I installed and configured the ax25 interface, TNT, DPBOX and clx to my needs.

I am running this configuration on 2 machines and will upgrade a 3. next week.
Till now I do not find any problems.

That will be great!
