Hi list,

within the last two weeks I tested clx3.03 on my RedHat 5.0 system.

It is working, but clx3.03 isn't that stable it should be.

As ax25 interface for clx I use the WAMPES socket from TNT1.1a3 with ax25 kernel support.
TNT, ax25-utils etc. are fresh compiled on the system.

The following things have to be recognized to be successfull with clx.

You have to install both libc-5.3.12-25.i386.rpm found at ftp.redhat.com/pub/redhat/redhat-5.0/updates/i386
and libc5-5.4.38-3.i386.rpm found at ftp.redhat.com/pub/contrib/hurricane/i386.

Do not use rpm with update option for libc5-5.4.38-3.i386.rpm! Use install option.
Do not use other libc versions! They will not work.

Change the links libc.so.5 and libm.so.5 from the libc-5.3.12 libs to the libc5-5.4.38 libs.
The libs are in different directories! Maybe you have to run ldconfig now.

When using the RedHat postgresql package, you have to modify the psotgresql init script in /etc/rc.d/init.d.
Exchange the line 'su postgres ...' with 'su - postgres -c "/usr/bin/postmaster -S"'.
Both, the postgres comming with clx and the RedHat version are running fine.
